Cornbread

1-1/4 cups flour
3/4 cup cornmeal
1/4 cup sugar
5 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons melted butter

I large bowl, sift together dry ingredients.

In separate bowl, beat eggs with milk. Gradually add to the flour mixture. Stir in the melted butter.

Spread batter in a 9-inch buttered pie pan.

Bake at 375 degrees F for 30 to 35 minutes, until lightly browned.
